This beautiful couple portrait was taken at the stunning ruins of Dunure Castle on the Ayrshire coast. After their registry office ceremony, we had planned to visit Culzean Castle for photographs — but the haar rolled in from the sea and had other ideas. Sometimes the best moments come from the unexpected. We made our way to Dunure Castle instead and found something truly magical — dramatic coastal ruins, moody atmospheric light, and a couple completely at ease with each other on the rocks. As an Ayrshire wedding photographer I love working along this stunning coastline and these two were an absolute joy to photograph. A truly memorable day.
