The house in full — built in 1752, sitting at the heart of Glasgow's biggest park, with two newlyweds small on its double staircase. I frame venue portraits like this to show the scale a couple marries into; the building becomes the story and the people become its newest chapter. There's real history in these walls, including the conversations that founded the National Trust for Scotland back in the 1930s. This wedding was among the last before the house closed for its four-million-pound refurbishment, and when the doors reopen I'll be first in the queue to photograph here again.
