The first kiss is over in about two seconds and it is the one photograph nobody forgives a photographer for missing. There's no trick to it beyond preparation: position sorted early, clean line to the couple, exposure locked, and total attention on the celebrant's words so you know precisely when it's coming. Then you shoot a short burst and hope they linger — this pair did.
What makes this frame for me isn't just the kiss, it's the context around it: guests visible behind, the light pouring through the glass, the sense of a whole room holding its breath. A first kiss photographed too tightly loses all of that.
